Shakugan no Shana II Eposide 11

Yay! School festival is coming and everyone is busy with lots and lots of work and preparation for it. Ike seems to have the worse of luck as he is paired with someone who looks up to him, has more stamina and enthusiasm but lack of managing skills. Though Margery did decline to come but I wonder would she make a sudden appearance in the festival to spice things up a little.

Shakugan no Shana II Episode 11

When evening arrives, we are treated to a fan service. 😀 It is the girls’ turn to use the bathroom and I let the pictures (above) to explain it all. Later Shana and Kazumi had some heart to heart talks and even though both of them already received advices, no real actions was taken. Not to mention they are somehow just repeating what what they feel and doing the same self encouragement. I am already starting to feel numb for the lack of love triangle progression.

The best part again, comes from the ending. Wilhelmina is back and she brought news about the Reiji Maigo. One thing for certain is Silver and Pheles so far do not seem related to each other and this just adds more suspense and actions. A hint was also shown when Wilhelmina wishes for Pheles not to discover the whereabouts of the Reiji Maigo. Could it be they were once friends? That question will be answered soon enough.

Man Returned Home

Shakugan no Shana Episode 10

Yet again this episode has been a roller coaster ride for me. Yuuji is related to Silver somehow, the episode continues with the lovers fight going to a newer level and a fantastic foreshadowing ending .

Shakugan no Shana Episode 10

With the color of Yuuji’s flame was the same as Silver, many more questions appeared and is still left unanswered. This is just adding more the pot and we are all waiting for it to spill over so Shana can do some butt kicking.

The Seishuu Festival was a little flavor added in to progress the romance troubles. With the usual gang participating in the costume parade, it is again Yuuji became the main “prize” by being Romeo. Though Kazumi did win the Juliet‘s role, there was no jealousy rage as the girls seems to wise up after receiving Margery’s advice.

As Shana and Kazumi receive more advices from Juuji’s mom, the most weird advice is from Yuuji’s Dad, Kantarou! He has a weird hobby of stalking people, has never bothered to show himself from season 1 until now and got married with Chigusa at school age. Kantarou even told the girls that the men of Sakai’s family tend not to be anchored to the ground, but I wonder if this saying made Yuuji to be as dumb as a boulder on receiving love hints.

The ending has got to be my favorite part as Kamshin told Wilhelmina that Pheles is still alive and she is looking for the Reiji Maigo. I am hoping that Pheles would end this love triangle and give Shana II it’s long due intense battles with Tomogara(s).

The Milestone of Sorrow

Rating: 8/10

Shakugan no Shana II Episode 9

While this had been a rather decent episode, the best part has got to be at the last minute where a new revelation behind Yuuji’s secret is revealed. He had the power of Silver, the one who Margery had been hunting for god knows how long.

Shakugan no Shana II Episode 9

Pretty good action, too bad almost anyone could have guessed the outcome of the battle. Both Margery and Sydonay will survive, Anna Berg is gonna kick the bucket and poor Yuri will end up as a lesson and warning to Keisaku and Eita from following Margery. It didn’t surprised me one bit when Margery blasted through Yuri just to defend herself from Sydonay’s attack.

Eita still seems to admire Margery as he had always been, but Keisaku might have developed a different opinion of her now that he’s heard her story. But his devotion for Margery is much deeper than Eita even though he doesn’t really show it, so I doubt he would just abandon the idea of following Margery. I wouldn’t be surprised if he came out saying that he will become stronger and not get in the way like Yuri, and that he would gladly repeat history if he had to.

But like I’ve said earlier, the main highlight for me is during the last minute of the episode where Yuuji finally managed to cast a Fuzetsu on his own. Surprise, surprise! His Fuzetsu had Silver’s element in mixed in it. I have read that Silver is somehow connected to Yuuji, but it still kinda surprised me since it came out of the blue. Either I had missed it, but there were absolutely no foreshadowing of this happening.

Now I can’t wait to see the next episode to see what happens 😀

Door to the Past

Rating: 7/10

Shakugan no Shana II Episode 8

Just when I thought things are getting interesting again, especially with Margery’s past as the focus, I was disappointed again. This is the first time we’re getting a peek into Margery’s past, judging from the looks of it, probably somewhere in the early to mid 1900s.

Shakugan no Shana II Episode 8

I actually couldn’t believe Margery got shot down so easily, even if it was Sydonay. What’s worse was that she actually pretended to be down to escape from him. That doesn’t sound like the Margery we all know and love.

Is it just me, or does Valac sounds a heck lot like Margery – both in voice and tone. However a quick check at ANN proved that Valac isn’t voiced by Hitomi-san. I was so damn sure they were the same person too, darn.

It’s quite obvious that Yuri would be the true subject behind Margery’s story of her past, so it’s also a pretty sure thing that Yuri won’t have a nice ending since the story seems to be serving as a warning to Keisaku.

Wilhelmina’s books just doesn’t make any sense to me…

Ike Hayato, His Glorious Day

Rating: 8/10

Shakugan no Shana II Episode 7

This is actually actually a pretty good episode. Maybe its because it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve watched Shana and have totally lost my old frustration towards the lack of action in the series or maybe I’ve just given up hope to ever see any real ass-kicking in this second season.

Shakugan no Shana II Episode 7

Ike is surprisingly scary when it comes to organizing events and only Wilhelmina would be able to see his reasoning and go along with his plan without batting an eyelid. Being overly well prepared and having the entire day planned out for a trip to the theme park always spells disaster. Which is why I never bother to do any real planning for such a trip. You’ll always end up doing totally different things in a different order.

“Good memories comes from good planning.”

This guy obviously needs help with a reality check. While it’s somewhat true, the best memories are often ones with little planning and just enjoying the moment without any worries. At least that’s true from my own experience.

Shana is just full of win this episode, going for all the roughest and toughest rides and games. Shana with a lightsaber is pure awesomeness. Alastor should really find a lightsaber to replace the Nietono no Shana. It’s actually interesting to see Shana wanting to have fun for once.

Ike’s motion sickness is out of this world…

Come on, a ferris wheel!? *shakes head*
