The boy is Oz Vessalius and the girl is Alice. They are the main characters of the manga/anime series called Pandora Hearts.

It’s a really good series, do check it out :)

    Hey there:

I’m a lawyer and privacy advocate at Abine, an online privacy startup in Boston (http://www.abine.com), and I write our privacy blog (http://abine.com/wordpress). I recently came across your blog, and I thought it was excellent.

Although it might not seem like it at first, privacy and anime have a few things in common–for example, the publication of people’s (usually politicians) rental histories as an embarrassment tactic, the massive reverse class actions the RIAA and copyright holders have brought against alleged infringers, and the fact that some shows and scenes are simply better off watched when NOT in the company of one’s parents 😉 La Blue Girl, anyone? I actually put together a list of the top 10 movies you wouldn’t want to watch with your parents recently: http://www.abine.com/wordpress/2011/top-10-movies-not-to-watch-with-your-parents/ Anyway, I wanted to say hi and extend myself as a resource in the privacy and internet-tracking sphere. You cover a lot of topics, and I’d be happy to help if you find yourself in that realm in a review or something. I’m a cosplayer and anime fan myself. I just got into Death Note, actually. Do you have any recommendations for something after that?

My stance isn’t “”don’t ever use the internet””–it’s a great part of our lives–but instead get control over the internet; make it safer; and keep doing what you’re doing–just be smart about it. That’s why we make software that blocks covert tracking, but doesn’t interfere with a person’s internet experience.

I would love to hear what you think about advertisers collecting data about you and your interests to target you with ads and to sell to third parties. Is it a concern? Something you don’t really worry about? Something you don’t quite understand?

I look forward to connecting soon!

    -Sarah
