Pokemon 12th Movie: Arceus Choukoku no Jikuu e

Posted by Neko Kyou in Coming Soon, Pokemon on March 6th, 2009

Starting from Mew and MewTwo, all the way to the titans Palkia, Dialga and Regigigas. And next is the God of Pokemon and the one currently sitting at the very top of the Pokemon hierarchy – Arceus.

This is supposedly the last movie of the Diamond & Pearl series. Makes you wonder what they’re going to come up with next.

Really though, how are they going to top the God of Pokemon? The God of an alternate Poke-world?

The Sword of URUK PV

Posted by Neko Kyou in Coming Soon, Thoughts on December 26th, 2008

A new PV for Tower of Druaga ~ the Sword of URUK just appeared on YouTube:

It’s basically just a quick recap of what happened in Aegis of URUK, with only a few seconds of actual new scenes from the upcoming season. From what I can make out, there are quite a few new characters being introduced (who somehow reminds me of some villains from some Naruto movie) and a more mature looking Kaaya.

Can’t wait for the Sword of URUK to start airing :D

Pokemon 11th Movie Trailer: Giratina and the Sky’s Bouquet

Posted by Neko Kyou in Coming Soon on April 25th, 2008

Looks like the next Pokemon movie is going to be released pretty soon, this time featuring Regigigas, Giratina and Shaymin. Not to mention looks like Dialga would be making a re-appearance as well.

I don’t really care what others say about Pokemon, I still like it. Sure, the plot is recycled every other episode and is very inconsistent, but the movies have always been pretty good – with a few exceptions.

The trailer looks quite impressive:

The last movie was quite good, so I’m looking forward to this as well. Gi gas gi gas!

Code Geass Season 2 Confirmed

Posted by Neko Kyou in Coming Soon on December 6th, 2007

Code Geass 2nd season will be airing as part of the anime lineup in spring, which means April. That’s right folks it’s almost time to get mesmerized under the influence of Lelouch’s Geass once again. We have another 4 months to wait before we’ll get to see what happens after both Lelouch and Suzaku fired at each other at the very end of the first season.

Code Geass

“Wait for us… We’re coming back…”

Cliffhanger

The first season left the series at a serious cliffhanger and after Euphie’s blood-filled episode I had almost no hope left for a happy ending to the series. Right near the end of the first season we had many new revelations – a hint of what really happened to Lelouch’s mother, the unseen person C.C. is always speaking to, and apparently everything that has been going on was part of the Britannian Emperor’s plan? And just who is V.V.?

One thing I noticed about the final 2 episodes was that Sunrise suddenly switched and presented the Britannian forces as the good versus the evil Black Knights. It was interesting how they could suddenly have the viewers feels more empathic towards Britannia since the whole series had built upon the fact that Britannia had oppressed the Japanese and they were fighting to regain their freedom and independence once more.

But perhaps the empathy does not lie with Britannia, but those who were fighting the war at the moment. Euphemia’s death was probably the tipping point that helped identify with Cornelia’s struggles.

Britannia vs Black Knights

In between the two forces at war right now, I can no longer decide who I should be rooting for. Both parties aren’t exactly righteous and deserves to win, but I also can’t bear to see everyone wasted. Everything that Lelouch had built up is crumbling fast and the Britannians aren’t exactly in any good shape either even if they continue their current pace and wins.

Emperor of Britannia

“Bow to me!”

Only one man seems to stand at the top of it all, the one who is, at the moment, the most likely victor regardless of what happens. Lelouch’s #1 enemy, the Emperor of Britannia.

Persona -trinity soul- anime

Posted by Neko Kyou in Coming Soon on November 10th, 2007

Persona 3

What do I know about Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3:

  • A Japanese RPG on the PS2
  • You play as a high schooler during the day (like those hentai dating sim games)
  • You play as a kickass monster slayer in school after dark
  • You shoot yourself in the head over and over and over…

I haven’t exactly played the game but I’ve seen some demo videos and it does look rather interesting. The character designs and settings are rather anime-like. While the idea of a dating sim + demon slaying game packed into one is pretty unique (at least to my knowledge) and would be enough to catch anyone’s attention, its really how the battle works that got me interested.

Persona 3

“Don’t come, or I’ll shoot!”

The characters summons their persona’s by shooting themselves in the head with a pistol and if I remembered correctly, pretty much everything they want their persona to do they will need to shoot themselves in the head for it.

It would be interesting to see how the anime turns out when it’s released in January 2008. The only known detail so far is that the anime is a sequel, set 10 years after the events of Persona 3.

Hopefully it doesn’t turn out to be anything like Devil May Cry anime.
