1 Year Old

Lucky Star

Everything looks so yummy in there and I mean everything *droolz*

Time sure flies when you enjoy what you’re doing. Without realizing it, a year has already passed since I first started this blog. According to my WordPress, there are a total of 258 posts (excluding this one) and 594 comments at the time of this posting.

I like to think that it’s because of the interactions with readers, commentators, and other bloggers that had kept me going, so a big THANK YOU for everyone who’s reading this and hopefully I’ll be able to make another similar post next year :D

My original plan back when I created this current theme was for it to last only until today. I wanted to create a new theme for this blog’s first anniversary, but because time doesn’t really permit, I’ll just update the banner and the layout’s colour scheme a little. It might not be a new theme, but at least it has a fresher look now ;)

Looking back, maybe I should have waited another week before starting this blog. That way, it would share the same birthday as me! XD

I got accepted into 9rules!

Posted by Neko Kyou in Updates on May 25th, 2008

9rulesI’ve been rather busy lately with a few side projects that took up most of my free time, plus the fact that I haven’t had proper Internet access for the last couple of days had been rather frustrating. But I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that I was accepted into 9rules!

Thanks to Kabitzin’s announcement of the round 6 submissions, quite a number of anime bloggers submitted in their blog and

That’s a total of 11 new anime blogs added to 9rules, bringing the total number of members in the 9rules anime community from 4 to 15. That’s more than triple of the original number of members before the round 6 submissions!

Being accepted into 9rules kinda motivates me to do better, especially since I had been looking forward to be a part of the community since I first started this blog, which will be celebrating it’s first anniversary in less than a month. Looks like I’ll need to put in some extra effort from now on :D

**Updated: Missed out 3 anime blogs that were accepted after the initial announcement :D

Have You Voted in the Anime Blog Awards?

Posted by Neko Kyou in Updates on May 11th, 2008

Well, have you?

Anime Blog Awards

Voting closes on the 14th this month, that’s barely 3 days away from now. I don’t think you can actually see the results of the People’s Choice until it’s announced, but you can check out the Blogger’s Choice current results by viewing each of the different categories individually.

Anyone can vote in the People’s Choice Award, but you have to be a registered blogger to vote for the Blogger’s Choice. So be a part of history in the making and start voting! :D

Hoping back into action!

Back from the land down under.

Sydney Opera House

I’ve spent the last 10 days roaming around in Australia, half the time in either a car, bus or plane. Drove from Sydney all the way up to Lismore for my graduation and back down to Sydney again within 3 days. Can’t remember the exact distance between the 2, but I think its around 600km and it would take around 7-8 hours to get there.

We took about 10-30 minutes break every few hours, and the sky starts to turn dark by 5pm (and you can see plenty of stars by 6pm) so it took us 1 1/2 days to reach our destination. Coming back took us about 12 hours, but my aunt was more familiar with the areas closer to Sydney so driving in the dark was less of a problem.

Aus is fun and I’m probably the only one who truly enjoyed the entire trip. Everyone else, including my relatives who lives there, kept complaining about the cold weather and my sister often complained that I could still work out a sweat wearing a single T-shirt out in the cold. I’m definitely made out for cold weather XD

More pictures and back to normal posting again soon.
