DaiCon 09 FAQ

Posted by Neko Kyou in Random Fun on June 1st, 2009

DaiCon have finally put up a FAQ page, which answered a lot of questions but still no actual schedule yet…

Must I pay any entrance fees?

No. DaiCon is free of charge. You only buy tickets if you’re interested for the Chihara Minori LIVE @ DaiCon session.

What does the AWSM or ELITE tickets entitle me to?

An AWSM ticket entitles you to:

  1. A specially numbered seat for Chihara Minori Live @ DaiCon session
  2. A pass for Autograph Session with Chihara Minori

An ELITE ticket entitles you to:

  1. A specially numbered seats for Chihara Minori Live @ DaiCon session
  2. A chance for our lucky draw to be upgraded to AWSM tickets (15x only)

So what exactly is happening in the Chihara Minori LIVE @ DaiCon” session?

It is a two-day session. Yes. Two days. You can use the same ticket for the both days.

On Saturday, 11th July 2009, the session includes:

  1. Q & A panel with Chihara Minori (more details to be released soon)
  2. An autograph session with Chihara Minori

On Sunday, 12th July 2009, the session includes:

  1. Chihara Minori Special Performance

Autograph session! Great! So, what can be autographed?

Permitted items to be autographed are:

  1. Chihara Minori original CDs / DVDs.
  2. Chihara Minori posters (included in the CDs or DVDs).
  3. Whiteboards (LOL).
  4. More items to be announced later

So is it a pre-signed thing?

No, it’s a LIVE autograph session. This means you get to go up the stage and get your item signed in person.

I have her poster AND her CD. Can I get both signed?

No. Only one item is allowed per person.

Is there anyway I will get her autograph or watch her session without purchasing the ticket?

No.

My question is not answered here.

Feel free to send your questions to info@daiconnews.com.

Tickets for Chihara Minori Mini Concert & Autograph

Posted by Neko Kyou in Random Fun on April 29th, 2009

Starting from the 1st until the 3rd of May, DaiCon Committees will be joining the EMiNA Cyber Roadshow held at One Utama Highstreet Haha no Hi event. Activities slated there include cosplay photoshoots, displays of Japanese Modern Visual Culture materials (manga, anime, magazines, figurines and many more) as well as free merchandise giveaways courtesy of Animax-Asia and ASTRO.But that’s not all! We’re also holding a sneak preview ticket sales for Miss Chihara Minori’s appearance in DaiCon. Don’t miss this special early bird sales at our roadshow! Tickets to be sold: AWSM Tickets = RM 250
– Specially numbered AWSM seats for Miss Chihara Minori’s Q&A Panel on Day 1 and Mini-Concert on Day 2
ONE Autograph Pass for Miss Chihara Minori’s Autograph Session.

ELITE Tickets = RM 150
– Specially numbered ELITE seats for Miss Chihara Minori’s Q&A Panel on Day 1 and Mini-Concert on Day 2.
– Lucky Draw chance to be upgraded in to AWSM tickets. (limited to 15 people only).

Holy shit! RM250 to get a chance for her autograph!

Considering such a rare chance, RM250 is quite worth it. But I’m already stretching my budget really thin to get there, so hopefully I’ll be able to scrap up enough cash for it.

I want that autograph!

DaiCon is also taking pre-orders for Johnny merchandise at 56th_avenue@LiveJournal by May 10th. You can get your hands on that poster/calendar/magazine of Kat-Tun/NEWS/Arashi you’ve always wanted and collect them during DaiCon itself.

There will also be some of the merchandise being sold at the event, but if you really want something, you should pre-order or else you might miss out on the chance.

Chihara Minori Live in Malaysia

Posted by Neko Kyou in Random Fun on April 28th, 2009

Chihara Minori

OMG! Chihara Minori is coming to Malaysia!!! And she’ll be performing live!

I only found out about this a couple of days ago and have been so excited ever since.

She will be attending DaiCon being held at Multimedia University, Cyberjaya on the 11th and 12th of July. She also left a special video message for those attending, which can be viewed here.

Because I’m living in East Malaysia, I would need to go over to KL by air. Now there are only about 5 seiyuus around that would make me catch a plane all the way there and back, and Chihara Minori is one of them.

Luckily, air fare is very affordable if I booked now, so excuse me while I go do all my bookings for the trip in July 😉

Oh yes, I’m going to need a new camera as well…
