There’s already 2 episodes up for The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan and Nyoron Churuya-san on YouTube. The drawing and animation is pretty poor, but I’d like to believe that it’s done on purpose for the comic effect rather than trying to cut cost.

In case you’re wondering, it’s considered lucky in Japan when a person’s first dream in the new year includes Mt. Fuji, a hawk and an eggplant. Or something like that. It was mentioned in Lucky Star before but I’m too lazy to actually go find out about it.

You gotta feel kinda sorry for Mikuru-sheep though.

Ero game playing Nagato FTW! The part where Nagato saved Kyon from Ryoko’s attack is pure gold.

Shakugan no To Aru Majutsu no Index-tan

Why?

Quote Index-tan: “That’s because the publisher and studio are the same!”

J.C. Staff must have been pretty bored to come up with Shana-tan, so they’re probably WAY beyond bored when they decided to make an Index-tan. Not that I’m complaining, it’s funny and entertaining, and I don’t mind more of this chibified insanity.

“uruchai, uruchai, uruchai!”

Index-tan even did the “uruchai, uruchai, uruchai” sequence on top of Touma’s head. It would have been better if Shana-tan had made an appearance and told Index-tan to “uruchai”. Hmm, now there’s an idea for J.C. Staff the next time they have nothing better to do.

Or they could also do a Zero no Louis-tan. It will be exactly like Shana-tan, just in a slightly different setting. And instead of demanding Saito to “chut up”, she would start barking out that he’s a tiny widdle puppy.

I wonder if that meant she trashed Atsushi Abe (Touma’s seiyuu) as well…

Shizuka Ito (Kanzaki’s seiyuu) got pissed drunk at the launch party of the series and vented all her frustrations on a poor abused Touma when asked about it here. I lost it at this point and started to laugh like a mad man. If you did too, then welcome to the club.

Damn, now I’m hungry for nasi goreng too…

I hope there’s more XD

After re-watching everything again from step 1 to final step, I noticed something in both There She Is!! and There She Is!! final step.

In the original There She Is!!, there was a few screenshots of Doki’s dream with Nabi, which Nabi also shared the same images but as nightmares instead. However, in the final step, it all came true for Doki and she seemed to enjoy every moment of it (yay! good for her!)

Here are the screenshots of the scenes I mentioned. The top image is from the first step with a screenshot of what actually happened in the final step below it. The order is based on step 1. In final step, the 3rd scene happened before the 2nd scene.

I would love to learn how to ride a luggage like that…

This kind of thing happens quite frequently in animations, I’ve yet to see it done in real life XD

Now excuse me while I go re-watch everything yet again.

Easily the best in the 5-step series and the perfect ending for There She Is!!

I watched the final step together with step 4 so the contrasting mood between the 2 steps made step 5 so much better. And I especially loved the animation near the end of the final step where Nabi embraced Doki and the no cat x rabbit sign faded away and turning into confetti.

It’s been about 4 years since the original “There She Is!!” animation appeared on NewGrounds and it still impresses me now as it did back then. Even though the final step was completely awesome, it still feels sad to know that there probably won’t be any more new ones.

It’s very rare to watch a short clip of about 5 minutes that would leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy, not to mention excited.

I highly recommend watching all the steps from 1 through 5 in one seating if you haven’t done so already.
