On the 3rd day of Christmas, my anime gave to me…
3 Shugo Chara Eggs
Even thought I called it a cross between Sailormoon and Care Bears, Shugo Chara really turned out to be something much more and I’m enjoying every bit of it. The storyline is surprisingly quite solid despite the slightly weak opening and there appears to be much more going on behind the scenes that has yet to surface. Hopefully, rumors that the series will run for 50 or so episodes are true.
Taking a few minutes to think, I really can’t recall any magical girl series that I’ve enjoyed since Cardcaptor Sakura and Akazukin Cha Cha. I was very near to dropping this series when I had decided not to blog about it early this season, but I’m glad I stuck with it for a couple more episodes after that.
Among Amu’s 3 shugo chara’s, my favourite is easily Miki. I don’t know why, but I just find her the most adorable and interesting compared to Ran and Su. Miki might have even been the hook that grabbed me in the first place.
Spade, Heart and Club. Where did Diamond go?

I just watched the first three episodes of this show last night, and I loved them all. I can’t wait to catch up.
This show is probably pretty easy to overlook, but it should definitely not be.
The first 3 episode was actually quite boring for me, so I agree that it’s pretty easy for people to overlook this one.
I think it was the 4th and 5th episode that I started to get into it lol
Miki is awesome! Especially when she’s supposed to be delivering the ramen, but she’s like, playing baseball or fighting with Toshiyuki or something instead. So hilarious. xD
Oh wait…what’s that?
Oops, wrong Miki.
j/k I love Shugo Chara’s Miki too. 😀
