I know the characters and I still get a couple laughs every episode so I’m happy. Plus hosaka as the curry fairy is pretty awesome.

Yeah, and the kid that lived next door was probably the most boring, time wasting subplot of all.

Why was he even there in the first place? He doesn’t do anything other than making people yawn and look away.

Okaeri might not be as amazing as the original season, but it does look set to be a lot better than Okawari.

This is exactly how I feel about Okaeri so far. I wanted to like Okawari a lot but I ended up hating just about every single episode. At least with Okaeri it was more like “meh” as opposed to “I don’t want to watch any more of this.”

I liked the character designs of season 1 the best, but the real thing that kills me is the boring slice-of-life stuff that replaced most of the comedy in the sequels. At least the ratio is getting a little better now, but season 1 is still my favorite.
