The drawing and animation is pretty poor, but I’d like to believe that it’s done on purpose for the comic effect rather than trying to cut cost.
In case you’re wondering, it’s considered lucky in Japan when a person’s first dream in the new year includes Mt. Fuji, a hawk and an eggplant. Or something like that. It was mentioned in Lucky Star before but I’m too lazy to actually go find out about it.
You gotta feel kinda sorry for Mikuru-sheep though.

Someone’s been playing too much Persona…
Wow it seems that I had missed something big in the last few days while I was busy with my Idlelogy forum. (Off topic- please do come and join us at the forum. We have an anime & manga section as well. We’re also looking for a few moderators, so if anyone is interested, please contact me.)
Word is all over the blogosphere that KyoAni dropped Haruhi’s sequel, and in it’s place will be an entirely new Suzumiya Haruhi. Apparently, the original season 2 was scrapped off because of some vague reason that they couldn’t just do it so they scrapped it for an entirely new Suzumiya Haruhi series.
Honestly, it all seems very vague and twisted and I won’t be surprised if it all came out as nothing more than a marketing ploy. It’s Suzumiya Haruhi, after all. She thrives on the buzz this kind of announcement creates. Remember last year’s video on tanabata?
For all we know KyoAni is just trying to lead us off track and suddenly surprise us when Haruhi gets aired next month. I mean, it’s possible. They don’t need to do any real promotion for it and like I’ve pointed out above, Haruhi lives on buzz so it might actually be better to keep all hushed up about it other than a few pieces of controversial news like this.

But it wouldn’t be too bad if KyoAni really decides to drop everything and completely remake the series if they take the gender reversal route. In fact, I would love it very much – Kyonko is never a bad thing XD

I can’t remember where I actually got this image from, just that Haruhi’s long hair and seifuku is very similar to the ones in the Haruhi scan that’s been going around with this announcement.

The fact that there will be a Suzumiya Haruhi game on the Wii isn’t that surprising, especially considering how well it did on the PSP. But what’s surprising (to me, at least) is that the game is (almost) all about Hare Hare Yukai. Suzumiya Haruhi on the Wii will be a dancing game.
The dancing mini game in Warioware Smooth Move was one of my personal favourite, so if this new Haruhi game is anything like that then its probably worth checking out. Now everyone can learn the Hare Hare Yukai from the comforts of your own private room.
Although there hasn’t been any news yet, The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi should be just right about the corner. I suspect that the game would be out around the time Haruhi’s 2nd season starts airing, which could be as early as Summer. Does anyone know if KyoAni have anything lined up for next season yet?

And even though we’ve seen it a thousand times, it’s still good…
It’s rather impressive, especially how solid and fluid the designs and animations are. Not to mention, it’s just awesome to watch Haruhi, Yuki and Mikuru in medieval RPG garments. My best pick would have to be Yuki for this one in her ranger/hunter looking outfit.
Oh, Kyon and Koizumi don’t look too bad, either. But you’re probably not interested in them
