Definitely the most fun ending theme for the series XD

Knowing Naruto, it’s entirely possible that he would get influenced and join in the dance with Gai and Lee. But the girls were just OMG!

I seriously can’t believe this. Not only have we wasted an entire season of fillers right before the Hidan-Kakuzu arc, we’re now getting even more fillers. DB chose a really good time to stop subbing Naruto.

What took just a few pages to complete will now apparently take an entire season. Deidara and Tobi’s easy and peaceful mission of capturing the “hostless” 3 tailed beast in the manga will turn into an epic battle and I assume that the jinchuuriki for sanbi will magically appear out of thin air. They even tried to make it look epic and calling it “The Three Tails’ Arrival Arc”.

I’ve been faithfully keeping up with the anime even it’s been full of fillers ever since the rescue Sasuke arc a few years ago. But I don’t think I can take another season of it. Unless it somehow turns out to be interesting (which I doubt), I’ll most probably skip this part.

“What!? More fillers!? SHANNARO!”

Actually, how many people are still watching the anime?

I’m the only one that’s been keeping up with Naruto Shippuuden among my friends. The ones that doesn’t read the manga, at least.

Dattebayo have just announced that they will be officially dropping Naruto Shippuuden effective 15th January, 2009. And for the first time ever, it’s not a troll. DB had decided to do this in respect of the joint effort between Viz and Crunchyroll to start airing the latest subtitled Naruto Shippuuden episodes on the same day as Japan’s airing.

This is the first time this has been done as far as I know, taking a currently running and popular series and start streaming (and presumably download) for a small fee, or free after a week. This is what many fans had been asking for when it comes to arguing the reason for fansubs to exist. While I am kinda sad that we won’t be getting DB’s sub anymore, I applaud them for their decision and Viz as well for their willingness to do what they did.

Whether or not Viz will succeed is still unknown, but judging by the responses from the free subbed anime on Crunchyroll so far, it will most likely be a success. Hopefully, this will then encourage more companies and studios to take up the online streaming/download model in the near future.

While fansubs will still be the biggest source of online anime, I strongly believe if done right, more people will switch to official channels, resulting in a win-win situation for everyone. Fans gets to watch their favourite anime for free or a small fee and not have to worry about getting in trouble with the law and the anime industry continues to thrive. Hopefully.

The situation gets worse than before as Sora is becoming out of control due to the Kyuubi effect. Naruto and the gang try their best to stop him but fail. Sora’s body is covered with Kyuubi armor that whoever touch him will get burn.

At the same time but different location, Asuma is fighting with Kazuma. Kazuma claims that he is doing the right thing for his Fire Country. As they are fighting, they also witness the situation over Naruto vs. Sora.

The resonance comes as Naruto also being affected by Sora’s Kyuubi. It seems like Naruto’s Kyuubi is being activated because of the effect from Sora. Naruto tries his best to stop his Kyuubi and also Sora’s Kyuubi. Boy, does he have his hand full. Nevertheless, Naruto’s sacrifices somehow manage to Sora gain awareness from his Kyuubi.

So…. yeahh…..

Time of Awakening / Despair

Sora is informed that his existence is similar to Naruto which is to bring destruction to the world. Sora is apparently a residual effect of Kyuubi. Speakingof Naruto, he finally beats the multi elemental witch. Apparently her looks is fake. All that matters to her is her hair. Once Naruto knows about her weakness, she is toast. Despite of all her beauty, she only has he hair.

Asuma, on the other hand, manages to catch up with Kitane after he has destroyed the electric barrier. It is not difficult for Asuma to defeat him. Just one stab and he is dead. Because of that, the other three individuals needed to create Limelight is useless so they too turn into dust.

Because of the Limelight plan fail and his comrades defeated, the leader decides to use Sora as his backup plan. He will release the inner monster in Sora. To make matter worse, Sora let the pseudo Kyuubi controls him.

In this episode, the good guys are making progress in dealing the horrible situation at the village. Yamato is able to defeat Fudo with his wood element jutsu. Apparently, Fudo is only able to use the earth element. Yamato is way ahead of him in terms of skills. Yamato, simply, traps him into a tree for life. Fudo’s defeat causes the zombies to turn back into dust.

Sakura is fighting with Fuen. Fuen is not a combat type of assassin. Compared to Sakura, Fuen spend more time in the background. He sets trap for Sakura but Sakura is smarter and more observant. Fuen, in the end, gets tricked by Sakura because of his overconfidence. Fuen’s defeat causes the barrier to disappear.

Asuma is fighting with Kitane but Asuma is reluctant to fight. In the end, Asuma is trapped by electric barrier. Sora tries to stop Kazuma from destroying the village but Kazuma has more experience in fighting. Lastly, Naruto is being distracted by Fuuka. It seems he is having a fun time.

The zombies are attacking the Konoha village. The village ninjas are trying their best to fend off the enemy but no avail. Their only ways to defeat the zombies are by eliminating the summoner. So, all that they can do now is just to defend the area.

Besides the zombies, the four Guardian Ninjas are revived too. Asuma has a little conversation with them and tries to persuade them to return to their eternal slumber. Unfortunately, the Guardian Ninjas are ordered to destroy the village and they can rest until they have fulfilled their goals.

Meanwhile, Naruto is chasing after Sora and ends up fighting with Fuka. Asuma is battling with one of the Guardian named Kitane. Yamato encounters Fudo. Sora meets up with Furido and is shocked to know Furido’s main objective.

Not again!!

There is another 1 hour special episode from Naruto anime this time around. The main part of this episode is about the assault from the Fire Country rebels. The bad guys are very formidable. The manage to penetrate Kohona village defenses unharm. In fact, the guards are being squashed by their earth element jutsu. Earth element kinda rocks! Get it?!

Before the assault, Sora is trying to find out the truth from Asuma. Thie results to a couple of fights between Sora and Asuma and, unfortunately, Naruto is injured because of it. Naruto tries to chase after Sora to console him but the only one that can make Sora to stand still is Asuma. Asuma explains that Sora is being used by the rebels to put the villagers in danger.

The following episode will be an exciting one as there will be a lot of battles from different groups of people in Konoha. Naruto may encounter his lustrous enemy again! I wonder what she has in her sleeves for Naruto this time around. Sai should recover soon as the village is low in ninjas to defend the village from the zombies. We may also get a lot of Asuma actions too.

The Two Kings

While the newly formed team Kakashi is in the village, Yamato suggests that the team should learn formation skills.  Knowing Sora and Naruto, Asuma gives an idea that those two are the charging type of ninja – a type which clears the way for the rest of the ninjas.  Yamato agrees and takes the opportunity to transfer the training obligation to Asuma.  Asuma is not amused but he decides to train them the wind element techniques.

Asuma gives them wind plus kunai training as usual.  Apparently, both Naruto and Sora are full of chakra that whenever  they throw their kunai, the dispersion effects are very apparent.  After the training, Asuma treats them with the famous village noodle.  Then, Asuma wants to have a chat with Sora. 

Asuma bring Sora to a weapon smith shop and gives him a repaired claw.  Sora is excited but does not thank him.  Asuma does not mind though.  Then, Sora takes a walk alone in the village where he encounters one of the enemies.  The enemy tells him that Asuma was the one who killed Sora’s dad. Sora’s anger allows him to throws a kunai right through a tree and destroys a huge rock continuously.

The episode starts off in Tsunade’s office. Asuma is reporting about the massacre at the borders of Fire Country. Asuma is suspecting that the Hidden Rain Village is all behind this but Tsunade advices not to jump into conclusion. After the meeting, Asuma has a chance to meet with his Sora. It seems like he knows Sora but Sora doesn’t know him.

While Team Kakashi splits up temporarily in the village, Naruto is assigned to bring Sora around the village. Sora speaks out about the mystery of his dad. He is trying to find answers about his hero. Later, Sora gets himself into a fight with Kiba’s dog, Akamaru. From there on, Kiba joins in. Then, Chouji. Then, Naruto. Then, Lee.

Meanwhile, the grave robbers are continuing their plan to turn another village into ashes for the sake of the Fire Country. Apparently, it is their main objective while the previous incidents were just distractions for their enemies.
