C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control, Started on Top and Rolled All the Way Down

C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control

C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control started off with a strong first impression. The first episode was pretty confusing, but that was part of its charm. The next few episodes started to explain what was really going on – what are assets, deals and the mechanics of the Financial District. Unfortunately, that’s where it started to crumble.

There just wasn’t anymore excitement after the first episode. There wasn’t any deeper meaning to everything that you might expect. The few “secrets” that the show tried to hide were pretty dull and nothing compared to what the first episode showed.

C was still interesting, of course, but by comparison, it started off at the top of the mountain and began to roll downwards, getting faster and faster as it reaches the bottom. That was what the final episode felt like. Despite what the ending tried to portray, it felt meaningless to me. It was a poor ending, one that could have been easily salvaged when Masakaki re-appeared, but wasn’t.

Perhaps there will be an extra special episode or OAV series that could tie up the series better, since it was left kinda hanging.

Gundam AGE Coming This Fall

Posted by Neko Kyou in Coming Soon on June 10th, 2011

It’s about time we get a new Gundam series and a new was just announced – Gundam AGE, coming this fall.

It’s called “AGE” because apparently, the story will span across 3 generations in the hundred year war. If you’ve played Infinity Blade on the iPhone, then it’s probably not too far from that. The Gundam shown also looks kinda weird, the first thing that came to mind was a starved Exia.

Taken from ANN:

The new series will have three generations of “father, child, and descendant” as the lead characters. The main characters pilot the Gundam unit to fight against an unknown attacking enemy (UE) and save Earth in a “One Hundred Year War” — an apparent homage to the One Year War of the first Gundam series.

The first main character is Furitto Asuno, who developed the Gundam AGE-1 mobile suit (humanoid mobile weapon) equipped with the AGE System (a self-adapting computer). The second main character is Asemu Asuno, Furitto’s child. The third main character is Kio Asuno, Furitto’s descendant who inherits the Gundam. The Gundam AGE-1 can be augmented as the Gundam AGE-1 Titus for more power, or as the Gundam AGE-1 Sparrow for more speed.

Other characters include Emily, Furitto’s friend since he was 7. Guruudekku is a Commander in the Earth Federation Forces and the captain of the battleship Diva. Mireesu is a Lieutenant (junior grade) in the Federation Forces aboard the Diva.

Well, silly as it might look and sound, having more Gundam can’t be that bad :)
