The episode starts off in Tsunade’s office. Asuma is reporting about the massacre at the borders of Fire Country. Asuma is suspecting that the Hidden Rain Village is all behind this but Tsunade advices not to jump into conclusion. After the meeting, Asuma has a chance to meet with his Sora. It seems like he knows Sora but Sora doesn’t know him.

While Team Kakashi splits up temporarily in the village, Naruto is assigned to bring Sora around the village. Sora speaks out about the mystery of his dad. He is trying to find answers about his hero. Later, Sora gets himself into a fight with Kiba’s dog, Akamaru. From there on, Kiba joins in. Then, Chouji. Then, Naruto. Then, Lee.

Meanwhile, the grave robbers are continuing their plan to turn another village into ashes for the sake of the Fire Country. Apparently, it is their main objective while the previous incidents were just distractions for their enemies.

The story continues at the point where Sora meets with a white-hair-guy. Unsuspectingly, the old man is quite friendly to Sora. He offers him a baked potato and Sora thinks it is delicious. However, Sora scents the dust of the coffin surrounding the person and assumes that he is the one who steals them. Without wasting anymore time, Sora initiate the battle. The man is very quick for Sora to deal any damage on him. In the end, Sora has to unleash his right hand power.

Meanwhile, back in the cave, Naruto is getting is arse kicked by the luscious Fuko. If it were a Final Fantasy game, she would be the black mage class. Why? She can do all five types of elemental jutsu. Compared to Naruto, she is more interesting to watch because of the vast abilities that she can do.

In another section of the maze, Sakura and Sai are trying to find the other members but Sai’s injured right shoulder requires them to stay put for a while. Those two has a very good conversation while they are resting. Finally, the team members are reunited as they are trying to save Naruto from Fuka’s chakra sucking kiss. Fortunately for them, reinforcement from the Fire Temple come just in the nick of time.

There She Is!!! Step 3

Posted by Neko Kyou in Random Fun on June 10th, 2008

There She Is!!! Step 3 - Doki & Nabi

I’m feeling very excited right now. SamBakZa’s There She Is!!! Step 3 - Doki & Nabi, has finally been released after 3 long years! It’s not as zany as the first two, but who cares~ It’s still awesome!

There She Is!!! Step 3 Doki & Nabi

If you’re not familiar with this series, you should check out Step 1 and Step 2 first. It’s possibly the best flash animation around. Adorable characters, superb animation and a story that would make anyone go aww… If you’ve never watched this before then you’re really missing out on something great. There’s even a wiki page for it.

The original flash where the series got its name from: There She Is!!! Step 1

Nabi delivering a birthday cake for Doki: There She Is!!! Step 2 Cake Dance

There She Is!!! Step 3 - Doki & Nabi

Step 4 should be out in 2 months and after that there will be a Final Step to end the story. I just hope there won’t be anymore delays like Step 3. And that Pokeball bit was pretty hilarious rofl!

**Update: There’s an alternate intro from Doki’s POV as she brings the huge present box and pompom to Nabi’s house. Just mouse over the cloud at the top right after the movie is loaded and you should see Doki popping out from there.

All About the Lolis

Posted by Neko Kyou in Code Geass, Thoughts on June 9th, 2008

Kaguya vs Knight of Rounds

Kaguya doesn’t hide behind her Knights.

So Xing-ke is really a lolicon for Tianzi. The Chinese loli was to get married off as a political hostage to the (very useless plan looking) First Prince of Britannia whose name was only mentioned once while Schneizel’s name was chanted over and over again. It doesn’t take much effort to see who’s the real leader among the Britannians here.

The Chinese loli invited her best friend, the Japan loli to her wedding dinner (eh, wait. I’ve always thought the wedding dinner happens after the wedding, not the night before) and she had her unofficial husband and his mistress come along with her. It would have been an interesting harem troupe of C.C. had tagged along. But Kaguya surprised me by actually being interesting and witty for once. The way she brushed off Suzaku was nothing short of awesome with that innocent look of hers.

I was expecting a lot from the chess game between Zero and Schneizel, but the game ended up pretty boring. And the fact that Lelouch ended up being played by Schneizel. It was much more interesting watching Nina going berserk trying to get Zero and I’ve been wishing her dead since the first season.

Zero pointing the gun at Tianzi

I can sense the trainwreck coming up. Zero wanting to kidnap Tianzi is one thing, but to point a gun at a helpless child in front of the man who saved your ass earlier as hostage while laughing maniacally is low even for Lelouch. Oh yes, it’s definitely getting interesting now. Everything up to now has been rather mild so if this is what it takes for Code Geass to surpass it’s epic legend of the Massacre Princess, then let the trainwreck begin!

But the best part of the episode was right at the very end… The one many of us have been waiting for…

The Return of Orange-kun

Yes, we’ve been looking forward to you, Orange-kun.

The Return of Orange-kun in an Orange mask!
All Hail Britannia!

Oh, and if anyone is still wondering why the Eunuch’s talk funny, it’s because they have nothing down there.

Haruhi dropped?

Posted by Neko Kyou in Suzumiya Haruhi on June 8th, 2008

Haruhi Gone Mad?

Someone’s been playing too much Persona…

Wow it seems that I had missed something big in the last few days while I was busy with my Idlelogy forum. (Off topic- please do come and join us at the forum. We have an anime & manga section as well. We’re also looking for a few moderators, so if anyone is interested, please contact me.)

Word is all over the blogosphere that KyoAni dropped Haruhi’s sequel, and in it’s place will be an entirely new Suzumiya Haruhi. Apparently, the original season 2 was scrapped off because of some vague reason that they couldn’t just do it so they scrapped it for an entirely new Suzumiya Haruhi series.

Honestly, it all seems very vague and twisted and I won’t be surprised if it all came out as nothing more than a marketing ploy. It’s Suzumiya Haruhi, after all. She thrives on the buzz this kind of announcement creates. Remember last year’s video on tanabata?

For all we know KyoAni is just trying to lead us off track and suddenly surprise us when Haruhi gets aired next month. I mean, it’s possible. They don’t need to do any real promotion for it and like I’ve pointed out above, Haruhi lives on buzz so it might actually be better to keep all hushed up about it other than a few pieces of controversial news like this.

Kyonko

Gawd… Kyonko is freaking hawt!

But it wouldn’t be too bad if KyoAni really decides to drop everything and completely remake the series if they take the gender reversal route. In fact, I would love it very much - Kyonko is never a bad thing XD

The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi?

Haruhi with long hair… mmm… delicious!

I can’t remember where I actually got this image from, just that Haruhi’s long hair and seifuku is very similar to the ones in the Haruhi scan that’s been going around with this announcement.
